We are thankful for the many businesses, foundations, community organizations and individuals who donate to help FRC continue to serve those who have been affected by interpersonal violence in our community.  Every gift and every giver matter greatly to us.

Together, we are making a difference!

 Monetary Gifts

The most flexible and helpful gift you can give is a monetary donation.

•Donations can be made online: DONATE

•Mail your donation to:
PO Box 612 Wytheville, VA 24382

•Bring your donation to one of our office locations;
 call 1.276.625.0219

Gift Cards

Like all of the donations that we receive, Gift Cards are logged into our Donation Tracking System and are monitored to ensure appropriate usage. The cards are kept in a safe location at our office and when staff recognizes a client has a need for necessary items that cannot be met by other means, Gift Cards are used to make the purchase.

•Gift Cards are used for things like perishable food items or fuel for essential travel.

• Gift Cards are small (they don’t require a large storage space) and flexible (they allow us to purchase exactly what is needed at the time it’s needed).

• We need cards for stores that are local to our service area (Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth and Wythe counties & Galax City).

The major grocery stores in our area are:
Food City* (Chilhowie, Galax, Independence, Marion, Wytheville) *Fuel also available
Food Country (Ft. Chiswell, Rural Retreat, Saltville)
Food Lion (Chilhowie, Hillsville, Marion, Wytheville)
Walmart (Galax, Marion, Wytheville)

Note: we do NOT have Kroger or Target in our area.

Gift cards for fuel are an ongoing need for survivors needing to travel to appointments.

Food City store locations have gas stations.

Sheetz (Galax & Wytheville)

Specific Needed Items

We maintain a list of commonly needed items on our website. From time to time, we need specific items, especially things for one of our shelter homes or to help a family set up housekeeping. If you or your organization would like to be contacted when we have a need, please let us know.

Volunteering & More

FRC needs volunteer helpers for specific projects; if you’re interested in learning more, please contact us. We would love an opportunity to speak to your group or organization about FRC services as well as how you can help us better serve the domestic and sexual violence survivors in our community. Contact us for more information.
